Nouakchott, Mauritania

Simultaneously with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's African trip at the end of February, a series of activities specifically for Mauritania were initiated by TABA Turkish African Businessmen Association.

​

In the program, which lasted four days in total, Turkish and Mauritanian businessmen came together at the "Turkey-Mauritania Partnership Meeting" hosted by the Novakshot Chamber of Commerce on February 26. In the program, a seminar on relations between the two countries was held, followed by B2B meetings.

In addition to various institutions such as the General Staff, Football Federation, Fisheries Federation, Turkish Embassy, the son of the President of Mauritania was also visited by the TABA delegation.

 

Ten Thousand Turkish Flags Were Distributed

 

The opening of the TABA Mauritania office was held by the Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekçi in January. Ten thousand Turkish hand flags brought from Turkey by TABA General Secretary Yunus Saraçlar, in cooperation with TABA Mauritania officials and Maarif Foundation School administrators, were distributed to Mauritanian people and children.

In addition, Turkish and Mauritanian flags and "Welcome to Sister Country Mauritania" posters were hung on the buildings along the route that President Erdoğan will pass by TABA Mauritania President Hayrettin Bayhan.

TABA Chairman Fatih Akbulut and Chairman of the Council Board İbrahim Kaki also took part in the welcoming protocol of the President as he got off his plane.
